From The Couch – Yankees Dominate Royals, Washington Nationals Communist Community Relations Director, Hard Words To Spell, Big Cruise Ship Tip, And More

Your news and notes for 5/27/2026…..

JM: The Kansas City Royals can no longer beat the New York Yankees. At all. There are calls for the Royals to fire their manager, but I don’t know what good that will do. The manager position in baseball is the least influential coach/manager of all major sports. You must have pitchers who can get the opposing batters out and have a lineup who can hit the ball and score runs. It sounds simple, but it’s true. The Royals have neither.

JM: This is an interesting story. Journalist James O’Keefe released one of his undercover videos, in which he asked questions of the Washington Nationals Director of Community Relations, Sean Hudson. It’s downright scary what Hudson said in the interview, admitting that he discriminates against Christian players, collects and tracks fan personal data, and is an avowed Communist. Comedian Alex Stein called him and, as you can see in the video above, it did not go well for Hudson.

JM: Hudson should not just be placed on leave; he should be fired immediately! What are the Nationals waiting on?

JM: Do you find it ironic that “school” is Florida’s most misspelled word? Here are the top words that people cannot spell. How well would you do spelling these without help?

JM: A 32-year-old psychopath named Thomas Caleb Butler killed this veteran by punching him in the jaw. After the 69-year-old man dropped to the ground, Butler kept punching him in the head before fleeing. For what? Because he didn’t like his flags? It’s been reported that Butler has a history of mental illness. No, really? Unbelievable.

JM: I like this story, but I often see videos like this and wonder why the person is videotaping it so that all their online followers can see it. It would be much more noble to hand the worker the five thousand dollars without the camera rolling, but he wanted to get followers out of it. So it’s a marketing ploy. That said, the worker’s reaction seems very authentic, so I guess I’ll chalk it up as a good deed.

JM: President Trump has a perfect endorsement record, but he only endorses people that he knows have an excellent chance of winning, are far ahead in the polling, and are expected to win. This is like me placing a large bet for the Yankees to beat the Royals and then bragging about it to everyone I know.

JM: I will never forget Al Green standing up in the middle of the State of the Union speech and ranting and raving and shaking his cane in the air like a raving lunatic. This guy should be in a mental hospital somewhere, not a sitting member of Congress. Good riddance.
