From The Couch – Man Accused Of Beheading Quantico Statue Granted Bond

When I heard that the man who desecrated the Iwo Jima Martine statue at Quantico was granted bond today, I was pretty shocked. I was even more shocked that it was only $2,500.

JM: Looks like this guy isn’t going to face the full weight of the law. The exact opposite, actually.

JM: Our judicial system is corrupt. There is no other explanation for this. $2,500 bond is a joke. It should be $250,000 at least.

JM: Omar, which is not her real name, has hired some very expensive attorneys to defend her. Guess we’ll see what happens, but this impending trial will probably be a while.

JM: There isn’t much information about the man they arrested. His name is Dante Milne and he is 24. He is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow. Was he joking with someone or was this a serious threat? Guess we will find out.

JM: I suppose I’m glad that this guy finally “saw the light,” but anyone with half a brain knows that the media has lied about and misrepresented President Trump from the very beginning of his Presidential run. Palihapitiya’s second point about repercussions is a good one though. None of these media people will ever see repercussions for what they said and did. Trump has sued a couple of people, but that doesn’t come close to covering it.

JM: To be honest, I wasn’t aware that Walter Koenig was still alive, so was kind of taken aback when hearing of his death today. He was one of my favorite Star Trek characters. One of my favorite scenes involving Koenig/Chekov is from “Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home.”

JM: Here is another funny scene from the same movie…

JM: RIP, Mr. Koenig.
