A sports heavy column today, which may happen a lot on Mondays during football season!
JM: I heard about this today and did not see it live. Apparently, many people thought the ESPN cameraman zoomed in on her, but alas, it was someone who took a cell phone video on his phone and then posted it online. See the original video below. Are you buying that?
JM: This poor girl was inundated with messages when someone found out her TikTok account. Who does that, by the way? I guess nothing surprises me anymore, but she seemed to take it in stride.
JM: I am a bit surprised that Patrick Mahomes is going to start the season opener against the Denver Broncos. I figured he may miss a couple games, but I guess he’s ready. I’ll be watching how mobile he is. Definitely don’t want him hurting that knee again.
JM: I am glad Western Michigan is protesting that Michigan added a second onto the clock at the end of regulation on Saturday night. I had a watch party of people over to the house to watch the K-State game and we turned on the Michigan/Western Michigan game after that game was over. We sat in stunned silence when Michigan was given an extra play at the end of regulation by adding one second to the clock and then completing the Hail Mary pass for the win. JM: Western Michigan was definitely robbed. The clock clearly hit zero before the ball landed. If you don’t think so, you are a Michigan fan or you had money on the game! Michigan officials claimed that there is a secret clock that is used to keep official time that the viewer doesn’t see on the screen. There is no way I’m buying that.
JM: All of those killed were employees of a cleaning crew that were in a van that was crushed by the plane. Such a tragedy.
JM: Hard to believe it has already been one year since Charlie Kirk was murdered. It is NOT hard to believe that leftists still celebrate it and want more Conservatives to die.
JM: Walter Payton was my favorite football player ever until Brett Favre came along, but Payton is still a close second. It is great to hear that his teammate and cohort in the Bears backfield became best friends and family. Rest In Peace, Matt Suhey. Here is a tribute to, and some highlights of, Suhey.
