The Barack Obama Presidential Library opened today to much fanfare. But what a strange-looking structure. It actually looks like the trash can in my kitchen.
JM: Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas attended the ceremony. Because of course he did. He would never miss an opportunity to hobnob with Democrat leadership. Unfortunately, The Obama Library isn’t on my bucket list. Pun intended.
JM: So the United States and Iran signed a peace deal? Actually, it’s a 60-day extension of the ceasefire, with 14 key points agreed to by both sides. I don’t think Iran will stick by this, but I guess it’s a start. My concern is that this seems like an agreement that two sides might make when they are in a stalemate. Didn’t the United States win the war? Shouldn’t this be labeled as terms of surrender and not a Memorandum of Understanding? But what do I know…
JM: So this guy was driving down I-70 randomly shooting into vehicles? That is pretty scary. I hope they catch this guy and quickly. This reminded me of the shooter many years ago who was randomly shooting at vehicles from a bridge near the Grandview triangle. What is wrong with people?
JM: My favorite part of the sentencing was the statement from the judge, who told this horrible monster, “You’re a disgusting and small man, if you’re a man at all. You’re a coward. All right, get him out of here.”
It has been a while since Kansas City had a serial killer, which is a good thing. John E. Robinson and Bob Berdella come to mind as recent killers. Of course, there was also BTK in Wichita. There are obviously still some sickos out there, like the highway shooter the other day, but it is probably much more difficult to get away with crimes than it used to be.
JM: Imagine having Trump Derangement Syndrome so bad that your family mentions that in the headline of your obituary when you die. Not that you volunteered and gave to charity, or helped your family or community. Just that you hated Trump. I know you’re not supposed to speak ill of the dead, but what a loser.
JM: This is really cool. I’ve got to admit, I’ve never seen a shortstop high-five a guy who hit a home run as he was rounding the bases. He couldn’t hide that he was happy for his brother. I like it.
JM: There is obviously some recency bias here, but George Washington and Abraham Lincoln should top this list and third place shouldn’t be close to them. Our Government schools are failing us.
JM: This guy bet five bucks, played this machine for six minutes, and won 10 MILLION DOLLARS!!!! We stayed at the Westgate three years ago and I didn’t win jack crap in their casino. Some of my money probably went to this guy! Congratulations, I guess!
