JM: Nancy got what she wanted. Attention.
JM: This fight between Carson Hocevar and Ryan Blaney happened after the NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night. The drivers had an incident during the race and things got heated. NASCAR CEO Steve O’Donnell announced they will not penalize either driver. O’Donnell credited the drivers for handling their own business and showing passion. While he said the sanctioning body doesn’t want to encourage fighting, they want to encourage passion.
“If drivers are going to handle their own business, the way we looked at that, how it played out, we’re not going to encourage fighting, but what we are going to encourage is passion, right? And those are two guys — Blaney’s showing his passion, showing his fire. So no, there’s nothing coming from us in terms of [penalties]. We’ll obviously watch what happens the rest of the way but nothing in terms of post-race penalties.”
Guess I don’t have a problem with it, but the more I see stuff like this happening around NASCAR, the more I wonder if the satirical movie “Talladega Nights” starring Will Ferrell was very far from the truth.
JM: Gas prices are getting ridiculous, but this is a reminder that gas prices were high for a long time when both Barack Obama and Joe Biden were President. That said, it’s time to get this “war” with Iran over with once and for all.
JM: I understand why Hawaii is ranked number one but was kind of surprised that West Virginia is ranked number 50. I’ve met a bunch of people from West Virginia, and they all seem pretty happy and proud of their state. So, who really knows how accurate this is?
JM: I also love butt and support butt. I also love Harrison Butker and support Harrison Butker. Sorry, I heard this clip earlier and had to post it here. “I love butt” will probably end up being a sound byte used over and over again. Why does Chris Jones call him “butt?” But (no pun intended) seriously, I love that the Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle is sticking up for his kicker. You don’t see that very often.
