I have only been to IKEA one time. Once. I was not a fan of being forced to walk through the entire maze-like store with no exit in sight until I got to the very end. So, I don’t shop there. That said, it didn’t necessarily surprise me when I heard that a couple visiting a Taiwan IKEA were caught in the middle of some hanky panky while testing one of the mattresses…
JM: Did they think nobody was around, or did they not care? Either way, they face up to a year in jail for this little tryst. I hope IKEA threw the mattress away, but I suspect that they didn’t.
A couple here in the United States made the news for a different reason…
JM: Anthony Fauci’s wife seems nice, huh? Guess she is not a fan of the media. Maybe she is just mad because her husband was exposed as a fraud and a liar.
JM: Why does it always seem that the Republicans have trouble getting nominees across the finish line? This time, it is Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche. When Democrats are in power, they all band together to support their nominees, and many Republicans go right along with them. Republicans always seem fractured and splintered. It looks like Blanche is going to get confirmed, but barely.
JM: Buc-ee’s moved into this town and almost immediately sued this small business because their logo looks too much like that of Buc-ees’ logo. You’ve gotta be kidding me. The name of the town is even Beavercreek. Maybe they’ll sue the town next. I wouldn’t put it past them. Not a good look for Buc-ees.
JM: Congratulations to the Missouri Tigers, the new 1960 national football champions. I never knew this story, but apparently the University of Kansas beat an undefeated Missouri in the final game of the 1960 season but used an ineligible player to do so. The league eventually took the win from Kansas and gave the victory to Missouri along with the league title. But the NCAA still recognizes Minnesota as the 1960 national champions. This resolution doesn’t change that fact, but it recognizes the University of Missouri’s claim to the 1960 national championship. Alrighty then. Nice to see that the Senate has nothing else more important to worry about.
