The movie, “Primetime,” based on Chris Hansen’s “To Catch A Predator” series, is set to be released on September 25th. The movie is a fictionalized and dramatized version of events based on the sting operations that Hansen set up and recorded for television. The strange thing about it is that the movie makers never consulted with Hansen and, in fact, tried to make him sign a Non-Discosure Agreement to view a screening of it! His description of events is kind of humorous. Check it out below…
JM: I have no idea how true this “based on a true story” movie will be, but I’m guessing that, since they didn’t use the real Chris Hansen as an advisor while making the movie, it will not be the movie it could have been.
Chris Hansen is an American treasure. He is still doing sting operations, and he talks about them on the podcast. If you like to listen to podcasts, you should check it out.
JM: Ho-hum. Another crazy person threatening to kill the President. Hope they find this guy and fast.
JM: To be honest, I was surprised that Nancy Kassebaum was still alive. I have a quick Nancy Kassebaum story. When I was in college, the Men’s Glee Club took a trip to Washington DC. One night we sang at a K-State alumni event there. It was all K-State graduates who all lived and worked in the DC area. Most were involved in politics in one way or another. I sat at a table of maybe 12 people for dinner. They all talked politics, and there were some lively disagreements. Then the subject of the Presidential election came up, and someone said, “You know who should be President? Nancy Kassebaum!” Every single person said “Yes! Absolutely!” almost in unison. It was the only thing everyone agreed about all night. People in both parties loved her. Times have definitely changed since then. RIP.
JM: A knife collection program? Seems like an exercise in futility to me. Maybe hire more police officers or security guards to patrol the subways to keep people safer. Just a thought.
JM: Almost every day I see a story of an illegal truck driver causing a major accident or killing someone. This is just the latest one.
JM: This is a funny story, but also an example of Hollywood elitism. Who would chastise someone you don’t know like that? Tom Hanks, that’s who.

JM: I don’t really like writing about the WNBA, because it’s a league that I could not care any less about, but here they are again making negative national headlines. This time, one of the players didn’t like that Enes Kanter Freedom was wearing a T-shirt with the definition of a woman on it, and she confronted him, causing a ruckus that got him kicked out of the arena…
JM: Here is Enes’ explanation of what happened…
JM: Enes was having fun at the arena…
JM: Reacting to the insanity of the WNBA with humor doesn’t seem to be making a dent with them. I think that’s the craziest thing of all. It is just making them angrier!
JM: I read this headline and thought it was a joke. It is not. York was arrested during a Chris Hansen-like prostitution sting in Ohio. York’s family is worth 8.5 Billion dollars, but he agreed to pay this fake prostitute $140 for sex. His wife looks pretty attractive, too, so who knows what this guy was thinking. This is breaking news. I’m sure there will be more information to come out about this weird news story.
