If you’re like me, you may never want to ride a roller coaster again after reading the eyewitness reports of what happened at an Atlanta area Six Flags theme park. A rider was thrown from the large roller coaster called Goliath and tumbled to his death due to faulty restraints. This is the 8th death to happen at this theme park alone. EIGHT! Granted, not all of them were roller coaster-related, but a lot of them were.

According to YahooNews, the rider was killed when he fell off of Goliath on Oct. 12, local police said. Four other riders were injured. Witnesses told Atlanta television station 11 Alive that the rider was ejected from the train, fell and hit the ride three times.
Police identified the man as Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem, 42, of Atlanta, USA TODAY reported. Six Flags temporarily closed several rides nationwide after the death of Kariem. The closures hit nine roller coasters at six of the corporation’s amusement parks nationwide, Six Flags said in a statement.
According to findings published by The Doan Law Firm injury attorneys, there have been at least eight deaths tied to Six Flags Over Georgia customers or employees, USA TODAY reported.
To date, there have been 108 deaths at amusement parks that are or were managed by Six Flags. Yikes! To read the details of these deaths, check out this link. I found it interesting, and disturbing, reading.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten on an amusement park ride and thought “these employees don’t really care if I’m restrained properly in here or not.”
I think my days of riding roller coasters are over.
JM: I wonder what the details of this “criminal investigation” are? A federal judge signed off on the search warrant and apparently all of this is going to go in front of a federal grand jury. I think Ilhan Omar is in big trouble.

JM: I don’t really know who Selma Blair is, but she claimed she was off her meds, causing her to act so erratically. That’s no excuse. If someone is this irresponsible, they shouldn’t let her get on an airplane ever again.
JM: I’ve never thought of this, probably because I knew it would never work, just like this guy found out. Just sneak in a flask or some shooters next time, buddy!
