Anyone that knows me realizes rather quickly that I’m a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. I read and collected comic books when I was a kid and watching all of these characters transform onto the big screen as an adult has been fun for me to watch. Hollywood has done a great job bringing the comic book characters and story lines to life. I’ve seen some of the movies multiple times and never tire of seeing them.
I’m starting a new “Top 10 List” series on my personal blog and thought ranking my top 10 MCU movies would be a good way to start. Here we go…
10) Spider-Man: No Way Home
Spider-Man No Way Home is a fun movie because it introduced the multi-verse to the MCU. The writers were able to bring all of the actors, both Spider-Men and villains, from past movies together in one place. It was a neat concept and it worked really well.
9) Guardians of the Galaxy

I enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy even though I wasn’t familiar with the characters from the comics. This movie was more of a superhero comedy than what they had produced before and it worked well. It also had plenty of action throughout.
8) Avengers: Age of Ultron

The sequel to The Avengers is a fun ride and introduced a few new characters to the MCU. There was lots of action in this one and a powerful bad guy, Ultron, trying to take out the Avengers and destroy the world.
7) Iron Man

The first Iron Man movie kicked off the MCU and the success of this movie is what led to the making of more and more movies. Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Tony Stark was perfect casting and he became a staple and the star of many of the MCU movies.
6) The Incredible Hulk

I was always a Hulk fan growing up and I still am! I enjoyed this movie. I’m surprised more people don’t talk positively about it.
5) Thor: Ragnarok

This is my favorite Thor movie. The Hulk had a substantial role in the movie, which helped a lot, and there was a lot of laughs throughout. I always enjoy watching this one.
4) Captain America: Civil War

This was the first MCU movie with a big hero vs. hero fight scene and it also introduced Spider-Man to the MCU. This is the most enjoyable Captain America movie for me to watch.
3) The Avengers

The first Avengers movie is still one of my favorites. The lead-up to this movie was pretty great with individual Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Captain America movies. All of the heroes from those movies, along with Black Widow and Hawkeye, teamed up to save the Earth from an alien attack led by Loki. I can still watch this movie anytime it is on.
2) Avengers: Endgame

Endgame was the end of the Infinity Saga of MCU movies and was a masterpiece as far as superhero movies go. The last 30 minutes of this movie are spectacular.
1) Avengers: Infinity War

Infinity War is my favorite MCU movie. I’ll never forget the first time I watched it when the big bad guy Thanos snapped his fingers at the end and killed half of the universe, including most of the superheroes. The bad guy won and the credits rolled. It was a shocking finish, even though the audience knew there was one more Avengers movie to come a year later. That still didn’t diminish the shock value of the ending. What do you think of my rankings? Did I get it right or get it wrong? Agree or disagree?
