Wow, that was fun! We went out to a local Tanner’s last night to watch the U.S. soccer team’s first match of the World Cup against Paraguay. I did not quite know what to expect with this men’s soccer team. They are normally just average and struggle in tournaments like this. The game last night was a different United States men’s soccer team than I have ever seen before. They dominated a pretty good Paraguay team, winning 4-1, after a spectacular first half in which they took a commanding 3-0 lead. This is by far the best U.S. soccer team I have ever watched. This tournament could end up being a lot of fun to watch and follow.
JM: I got goosebumps watching that video. More of this, please!
JM: That was the most fun I’ve ever had watching a soccer game. Do you believe in miracles?
JM: The soccer victory was dampened this morning by news that England’s soccer team had some equipment stolen. Do you know what I said when I heard England’s national team would be headquartered in Swope Park in Kansas City? Oh no, this might not be good. Do they know how dangerous that area is?
JM: Kansas City mayor Quinton Lucas is already on social media deflecting blame from Kansas City. He makes it sound like the equipment was stolen in transit. If that is the case, why was the Kansas City police department involved in the investigation, arrests, and releasing statements?
JM: This is not a good look for Kansas City. Or the United States, for that matter.
JM: British media used words like “audacious,” “devastating blow,” “heist,” and “security breakdown” to describe the thefts. It appears that there have been two arrests in connection with this, and the equipment was found and returned.
JM: Funny!
JM: What is wrong with the media? Most of them live in a different universe than the rest of us. I don’t hate Elon Musk at all. He is likely the most successful businessman in the history of the world. Why would that make anyone mad? I am in awe of him and everything he has accomplished, and therefore, I look up to him.
JM: Scott Jennings nailed it here. Do you know what I did yesterday instead of being angry at Elon Musk? I bought some SpaceX stock. Guess I’ll make some money off of his success rather than be a hater.
JM: Can this thing be over already? One way or another?
JM: This disgusting woman needs to travel outside her bubble and see how the real world works.
JM: Amen, Pete.
JM: All I know is if that guy was in that building, there is nothing left of him. U-S-A!!!!
JM: I chuckled at the message behind this. Then I stared at the picture a bit too long.
JM: Alice Cooper is a national treasure. What a great guy. The fact that he met with this man, gave him an album, took the time to thank him personally, and who knows what else says all you need to know. The world will be a worse place when he is gone.
