From The Couch – Chiefs Secure Dynasty: Patrick Mahomes Signs Massive Extension Through 2033

The Kansas City Chiefs locked up quarterback Patrick Mahomes until 2033 with a record-breaking contract.

JM: Patrick Mahomes keeps setting new records. This time, signing a deal that breaks the NFL record for annual value of 64 million dollars per year. The length of the deal also ensures that Mahomes will be the Chiefs’ starting quarterback when the new stadium opens in 2031. Barring injury, of course.

JM: I suppose this is good news, but even if he can get Iran to the table, any table, to sign a deal, how long before they break the terms of said deal? I don’t have any confidence that this will resolve anything.

JM: The Republicans beat the Democrats in baseball like the Yankees beat the Royals. Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt made a fantastic diving catch in left field during the game…..

JM: That is a pretty impressive catch for a 50-year-old!

JM: I don’t know how something like this happens. The guy flew 900 times without a license? He obviously knew how to fly, but he sure pulled one over on his bosses at Air Canada. That is one airline I will be avoiding.

JM: This is a great article written by Alyssa Ahlgren. I suggest you read the entire thing, but here are some of the highlights…

“Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don’t give them a second thought.”

JM: Some Americans don’t realize how good we have it.

“We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!”

JM: We also have homeless people walking around with thousand-dollar cell phones.

“Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, “An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity.”

Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.”

JM: Yes, please define “American prosperity,” Ms. Ocasio-Cortez.

“When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I’ve ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.

My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let’s just say I didn’t have the popular opinion, but I digress.”

JM: That is not the first time that AOC has said something factually illiterate.

“…my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn’t live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn’t see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.

We don’t know what it’s like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don’t have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it’s spreading like a plague.”

JM: I sometimes wonder what would happen if this country were forced to go through another Great Depression or World War. I hope we never have to find out.

JM: The Mount Rushmore of action stars? The first one that comes to mind as missing is Chuck Norris. What say you?
