From The Couch – Kristen Welker’s Anti-Trump Bias Exposed in Latest Broadcast

Back from Vegas attending my daughter’s wedding. You think inflation is bad wherever you are from? Vegas has gotten out of control. It’s changed a lot in just the three years since I was there last. Las Vegas has been called many things over the years, “Sin City,” “Desert Oasis,” “The Gambling Capital of the World,” etc. Now I would refer to it as a tourist trap. More on that another time. Let’s get into the news.

JM: Look at the hatred in this “reporter’s” eyes. I am so sick of biased journalists in this country. I stopped watching mainstream media long ago, but this clip went viral so I saw it posted on social media because so many people were sharing it. The video from the interview I am referring to is below….

JM: I am sure this exchange gave the Trump haters more fuel for their fire, but President Trump had every right to get frustrated and angry with Kristen Welker. You can watch the full interview here. She showed up combative and wanted to debate him instead of interview him. Her job as a journalist is to ask him tough questions that are of interest to the American people. Not to be a partisan hack and debate him using left-wing talking points. Welker isn’t the only “journalist” that does this. Like Trump mentioned, reporters in the White House press pool, in addition to those with ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, etc. are partisans that try to make him look as bad as possible. I’m sick of it. Are there any objective journalists left in this country? If yes, show me one. President Trump should stop doing interviews with these people.

JM: Have you followed the Brendan Sorsby story? Sorsby is the quarterback at Texas Tech, who has also played at Indiana and Cincinnati. He placed over 9,000 bets in four years. Not nine. Not nine hundred. Nine thousand! He bet on his own team and denies that he bet against his own team. If you believe that, I’ve got some oceanfront property in Olathe to sell you. Once the gambling app reported him to the NCAA and Texas Tech, he was ruled ineligible in April. Sorsby filed a lawsuit, and on Monday, a Texas judge issued an injunction allowing Sorsby to play this fall. The judge determined that Sorsby would suffer a “probable, imminent and irreparable injury” if he were not allowed to play for the Red Raiders this season.

Gimme a break.

JM: I’d love to have a conversation with Pete Rose right now. Rose received a lifetime ban from Major League Baseball because of his gambling habit. Fast forward a few decades, and we are allowing kids who gamble on their own teams to keep playing without consequences. “Say sorry” and move forward.

Again, gimme a break.

JM: Kinda harsh, but he, and they, deserve it!

JM: President Trump attended game three of the NBA finals between the Knicks and Spurs without incident. Security was tight, and fans had to go through extra layers of security, but the hubbub around this was unwarranted. Props to Adam Silver for defending Trump’s decision to attend the game. I would have expected him to say something different, but his comments about it were just about perfect. That alone will not make me like the NBA again, but it’s the start of him leading the way and hopefully staying out of politics in the future. I tried watching game one of the finals and lost interest after about five minutes. It is just nowhere close to the game I loved in the 80’s and 90’s.

JM: There are still no details about why this referee was denied access to the United States. I hope someone releases a statement about it soon. It seems really weird.

JM: If I were a betting man like Brendan Sorsby, I would bet that hostilities between the United States and Iran start up again. Soon.

JM: You can’t make up a story about a guy who flees the cops after a DUI stop, jumps into a swamp, and gets attacked by an alligator. The man was eventually captured and the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office then trolled him with an AI-enhanced image of the sheriff awarding a reptilian officer an award for the arrest.
