From The Couch – Betty White Tribute

Betty White died on New Year’s Eve, just weeks shy of her 100th birthday. She was one of the most iconic Hollywood celebrities of all-time, most popular for her roles on the Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls. She’s been out of the spotlight for the last few years, but she worked on television well into her 90’s. While her death is sad, it is fun to go back and look at some of her clips from television, movies, and commercials. Here are some of my favorite….

JM: The Mary Tyler Moore Show was before my time, but Betty had a big role on the show. This clip is pretty funny, especially Ted’s look at the end of it.

JM: This bit that Betty did with Ryan Reynolds is hilarious. Ryan tweeted a nice tribute after Betty died….

JM: Betty was 90-something when doing this bit. Still sharp as a tack!

JM: Betty was on Johnny Carson’s show a lot. I found this skit hilarious.

JM: A great moment on David Letterman’s show. Back when late-night TV was funny.

JM: Found this one of a young Betty White. Does anyone know what show it’s from?

JM: Betty also starred on the show “Hot In Cleveland.” She was nominated for an Emmy Award for best supporting actress for her performance in “Hot In Cleveland.” She won eight Emmy Awards in her career and had many more nominations.

JM: Betty’s done it all, including appearing on WWE Monday Night Raw.

JM: Berry had some great moments on “The Match Game.” She was a regular on this show.

JM: Most of my fondest memories of Betty White come from her portrayal of Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls. This is one of the funniest shows in television history and Betty was a big part of it.

JM: This 2010 Super Bowl Commercial for Snickers starred Betty. She was 88 years young at the time.

JM: Betty White roasting William Shatner? Yes, please! The next one is kind of long, but I enjoyed it. It’s the top 20 moments of Betty White…

JM: Betty White was such a great actress and performer with a quick wit and great sense of humor. She will be missed. I’ll leave you with this. All the “Golden Girls” are now reunited….
